2006 State Meeting Discussions:
During the 2006 State Championships in Lewistown we held our annual meeting.  We also had ballot boxes available on Sunday for those members who were not able to attend the meeting.  We asked for award ideas and desired format for the 2007 state championships.  We got many great award ideas and some items are already ordered and on the way.
During the 2006 State championship we used a 2 go format with an average.  We paid out on the average and gave the state awards on the average also.  We used a one entry fee format for the entire weekend so we could pay out monies for the average.
It was a success and was in demand by the members and the votes to use the same format for the 2007 state championships.   We will again have one entry fee of $100 in the open $60 for Youth and Senior, $40 for the partners in pink (lower from 2006) and $20 for the Pee Wee.  This allows us to pay out 40% of the entry fee to go rounds 1 and 2 and 20% to the average.
Please email me if you have any questions about this format or entry fee scale and I would be happy to go over the details with you.  No questions should be left unasked.  At the meeting we also discussed a location change from the Lewistown fairgrounds to the Great Falls Livestock Pavilion.  The cost is a factor along with the ability to obtain sponsors and support from the community.   We are at this time looking at all options and considerations and a definite location will be announced soon.
If you have any input, please email me at lisa@mtnbha.com.
